    We are currently seeking a talented and experienced NYC based professional to join our Global Trade Solutions (GTS) team in the role of Director, Global Trade Solutions

     

    The Director, Global Trade Solutions, will provide guidance on import, export and global trade compliance matters.  This individual will ensure the expeditious flow of goods across country borders to support supply chain requirements.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    • Strategically drive and provide overall direction for import, export and trade compliance programs
    • Develop compliance strategy and ensure successful implementation for import, export and trade activities in support of all markets; work with regulatory bodies to create opportunities to strengthen our processes and services for clients
    • Work with local regulatory bodies to identify shipment/license exemptions and create opportunities to strengthen our broker and government relations
    • Act as the point of contact for regulatory inquiries and provide direction on regulatory changes operationally, with service providers and clients
    • Manage the relationship, overall service capabilities, and activities of our global network of broker’s and IOR’s
    • Implement and maintain Service Provider SOW’s, managing KPI’s and overall network relationships, to include performance, quarterly reviews, and scorecard reports
    • Conduct internal compliance audits, maintaining trade SOPs
    • Conduct ongoing research with regards to all country import and export regulations, including new and updated product conformity requirements

     

    Qualifications

     

     

    • BS/BA degree or equivalent required
    • 8-10+ years import/export compliance experience with international responsibilities
    • Customs broker license or desire to attain preferred Strong Managerial skills, able to inspire, educate and direct a team with a vision
    • Expert knowledge of customs requirements including valuation, origin, classification
    • Experience importing and exporting in various countries in LATAM, EMEA, APAC
    • Familiarity of export controls and dual use requirements, encryption/electronics a plus
    • Experience in conducting and facilitating internal and external compliance audits
    • Able to solicit and develop cross-functional cooperation
    • Proactive researcher and eagerness to be actively involved in over 70 countries
    • Familiarity supply chain security programs such as C-TPAT, AEO and HAZMAT regulations
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently on multiple tasks
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    • Excellent analytical and interpretive skills
