Sales Executive in Logistics Industry

We are looking for a self-motivated, goal oriented Salesperson to continue the growth of our organization in the Dallas / Fort Worth market and surrounding areas. All candidates must have a strong drive to succeed and be able to work on their own successfully. The specific requirements are outlined in more detail below but it is imperative that all candidates be able to manage their own time, are well organized and are effective communicators. these are the keys to being successful in a sales role within our organization.



The below clearly defines the tasks and responsibilities that are expected from applicants for this Sales Professional position:


Agent Communication

Prospect sales leads with overseas agents

Handle booking communications and set service expectations

Prospecting New Customers in Specific Target Areas

Use prospecting tools such as Zepol and Piers to develop sales targets

Attend industry networking events in local and target market areas, CSCMP, Transportation Club of DFW, DFWACA, etc.

Making initial Cold Call to Qualified Prospects

o   Determine the decision maker

o   Introduce the organization and request meetings

Manage Calendar

o   Effective schedule management

o   Setup meetings with new and existing prospects each week

o   Manage customer follow up

Handle back end sales functions:

o   Account Setup & POA process (Sales Module)

o   Bond Applications

o   Compile and distribute finalized Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

o   RFQs

Manage timeline

Print and Prepare hardcopy packets

Manage internal process (i.e. Procurement, VACO, etc.)

PowerPoint Presentations

Manage local administrative assistant

o   Effectively delegate administrative tasks

o   Set goals and responsibilities

o   Coach and hold accountable

Manage customer service account team

o   Manage introduction and handoff of clients to account team

o   Set service expectations and hold team accountable

Manage Prophet / CRM

Manage and Submit Expense Reports





College Degree


Minimum of 3 years sales experience in the logistics industry

o   Knowledge of ocean and air imports and exports

o   Customs brokerage and compliance services knowledge


Experience and comfort level with Cold Calling

Experience with networking and building both a company and personal brand

Must be well organized from a communication and scheduling standpoint

People management experience is desirable

Motivate and set expectations for employees who are not direct reports

Possess the ability to organize resources across the company from a satellite location to achieve goals

Experience with Outlook

Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
